Jenene Chesbrough

Jenene Chesbrough grew up near New Hampshire’s 11 miles of coastline. She always had a creative flair and can remember how, at age 9, she gathered all the neighborhood children together to teach them how to make papier-mâché masks.

Jenene received her dual photography and design BFA from the Art Institute of Boston in 2003. She was valedictorian and earned the Best of Department award. She had to make a speech at graduation, the fear of which gave her laryngitis for the first and only time in her life.

Jenene’s photography has appeared in numerous magazines and books. Her work is in collections in both the United States and Europe. She currently lives in Brooklyn, New York, where she continues to work in both fine and journalistic photography and various design mediums.

Lately, she fancies pattern making and is trying to learn how to cook.
