aka. Honest McLeod
I'm a McLeod Member.
I'm female and single.
I’m not very good at writing these things. What’s that Kerouac?
“Let the mind be warned that though the flesh be bugged the circumstances of existence are pretty glorious.”
Oh, thanks Jack, I completely agree.
I've invented a drink for McLeod called…French 75
I didn’t invent the French 75, Raoul Lufbery did. He was a solider in World War 1, and named it after a big piece of artillery. How manly considering it is such a delicate thing to drink. Somewhere along the line the cognac, readily available in France, was replaced with Gin; frankly it just isn’t the same.
French 75 (how Raoul and I like it)
2oz of cognac
1 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
1 sugar cube
3-5oz of Champagne
Lemon peel for garnish
Mix together in the glass the cognac and lemon juice. Pour in the champagne, leaving a little room at the top. Drop in the sugar cube and garnish with the lemon wedge.
Variations: I had this served once in a big pitcher and it had a vanilla bean in it, which was great.
I have also had this with a sugar rim rather than a sugar cube.
